The PDI is performed by a builder representative who will test and demonstrate the home’s features and systems for you as well as record warrantable deficiencies along the way. The PDI is performed before you take possession of the home. Therefore it is crucial to ensure items that may be damaged, missing, incomplete and not in good working condition are recorded because these issues may be difficult to prove they were inherited after the PDI forms are signed and filed with the Builder. We will accompany you at this stage to ensure the items above are inspected and recorded accordingly.
The Builder will attempt to have the PDI items competed before you take possession of your home, however, if these items are not completed for whatever reason, they will need to be transferred to your 30 Day Warranty Form.
